The People in your Life

Sometimes, the people you meet are more genuine than the people you deal with daily. Everyone has a motive; it's not always bad. Those who smile in your face and talk about you behind your back are not the best of friends. They pretend to care but watch for your downfall. People come and go. Be aware of the "If I were you." They want to tell you how to live when they can't run their own lives. When you fail to please them, they play the blame game. It's your fault for their shortcomings. No matter what you do, it's never enough. Be aware of the people who creep into your life. They bring chaos and confusion, they say, let's party, but it's always at your expense.
We should look at the spiritual influence in our lives. How many people encourage you to keep the faith? Everyone you count, you can't count on. Their word is that they will be with you to the end, but when things get tough, they get going.
Learn to listen to what people are saying; they reveal who they are and their motives. Pay attention to what they do. Jesus taught his disciples, saying, "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."Our words justify us, or we are condemned by the things we say. A kind word can make a difference in someone's life. Be a motivator! Lead people to Christ the Lord.
