God knows your grief

There are times when we feel alone. You may be by yourself, but you are not alone. God is always near: be sure to have a good relationship with Him. Prayer is our way of direct contact with God through Christ the Lord. Jesus said, "And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father, in my name, he will give it you." We must put our faith and trust in God for comfort in our time of sorrow. Depending on temporary things will end with disappointment. Turning to alcohol and drugs will only make things worse. You may receive relief for a while, but the pain is still there. Only God can heal a broken heart. The power of His love and his mercy is endless. Christ shared our grief, and He was associated with pain. When Lazarus died, Jesus visited his sisters, Mary and Martha.
Words of comfort are found in St. John 11:33-36. "When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in his spirit, and was troubled. And said, Where have you laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!" Jesus encouraged his disciples by saying, "He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal." Trust God, He will heal your broken heart.
