The Love of God is everlasting and powerful!

John 3:16

John 3:16 is so profound that sometimes we overlook the simple meaning. Jesus wants us to understand that God's love is greater than the ocean is wide; and there is nothing greater than God's love. The Word says that For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. There are two key words that we should notice. The word so shows us His love without letting us see it. His Love is so wide you can't go around it. It is so deep, you can't go under it. It is higher than the atmosphere from here to there. The word so shows us the power of God's love. The word gave is the foundation of His love. (purpose) You can give without loving, but you can't love and not give. God gave all that he had to this wicked world. He gave of Himself! God loves everybody but we must learn to make it personal. When you read John 3:16, you must be able to say For God so loved ME that HegaveHis Son, if I would believe, I will not perish but have everlasting life. We must understand that this love is a gift! We did nothing to deserve His love and favor. God's gift of salvation is the proof of His amazing grace! He supplies all of our needs. He has done for us, what we could not do for ourselves. Love in its true reality and power is seen only in the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary! There was no other that could pay the debt that had to be paid. God Himself made a way! Only love can cover SIN.

Matthew 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

Making the right decision

We've all had to live with some of the bad decisions, that we have made in our lives. Some with great regret, and some that we learned a great lesson. There is no greater feeling than when we have made the right choice, sleep is sweet and all is well. Then we are given life's ultimatum, Either or Else, when we must make a decision. In our text, Jesus teaches a parable. A parable is an earthly story with a heavenly (spiritual) meaning. In spiritual terms, He says either make the life good and its actions good, or else make the life evil and its actions evil:for the life is known by its actions. People will doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do. Then He says in verse 35, " A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bring forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bring forth evil things." We must decide if we will be born again, and become a spiritual man or remain a natural man. For the bible teaches us, A man born once will die twice but a man born twice will die once.
