Fishing in a Bucket

What does it take to go fishing? First, you must be committed to the thought of catching fish. Preparation is key to your success. You will need the tools to make the catch. Without the knowledge of fishing, you will catch nothing. You can't make the fish bite, but you can entice them with the right bait.
Jesus uses parables to teach lessons. A parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning.
Jesus sees two men whom he can use to work: he calls them and says, "Follow me." I have a job for you; I will make you fishers of men. They dropped everything and followed him. He goes on a little further and sees two more brothers. They were mending their nets, and he called them. They quickly responded and followed him.
Jesus begins his ministry by calling men to kingdom-building. Christ extended the invitation to everyone he came in contact with. Saying, "Follow me." When Christ comes into your life, you will have a change of heart and the way you see and do things. You must be obedient, follow him, and become Christ-like. Your desire to catch fish will change. We must entice men to come to Christ by sharing the gospel. The testimony of your life can impact someone to come to Christ.
Fishing in a bucket is a metaphor of catching fish that's already caught. You must be able to lung out into the deep and fish by faith.
When we are convicted and committed, we can receive the great commission.
St. Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
The Great Commission has three points.
Compassion: Love is the power of compassion; without it, we are failures. The love of God must be in our hearts.
Concern: I can show you that I am concerned about your well-being over my own. We should show love for one another.
3. Contact. I will make contact with you because I am concerned about your spiritual condition. Spiritual health is as important as physical health.
