Evangelism Work is Action

The work of an evangelist is not an easy task, but it can be rewarding. Christian training is the KEY to the work of evangelism. Teaching, praying, and planning will keep you focused on reaching those who are lost. We are all called to do a job. God has given you a talent for the work of the Kingdom. The job of being a witness is open to all who respond to the call to evangelize. The true witness (evangelist) is not concerned about a position, but the work of Jesus. People are hurting, and they are looking for answers. We must make ourselves available to do the work of Christ. The true witness knows that the ANOINTING is not on the witness, but it's on the work of the witness. Christ is the Anointed One, and He has anointed the work of the Obedient Witness. When doing the work of evangelism, we face two major obstacles. 1. The person of SELF, there is no room for selfish pride in the gospel ministry. Personal feelings get in the way of our work because we want to see the results. The results belong to God; unless God blesses your work, it will not be fruitful. Selfishness and Greed will hinder your ability to be effective. And it is a serious problem when you can see what God is going to do, but you can't see what God is doing right now. 2. The APPROACH, the way we approach people with the gospel of Christ, is sometimes a turn-off. People can see through a fake smile, and they will doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do. We must represent Christ in humility, showing compassion to everyone that we meet. When we approach people, we should explain why we preach this gospel of Christ. Be faithful in your work. People need to know that we preach the true Word of God. In the bible, II Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." Then we have a CHARGE to keep. We must, "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. "We must follow and serve Christ with the mind of Christ. You must be born again to do the spiritual work of Christ. In our instructions, we receive encouragement from the Word of God. II Timothy 4:5, "But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
