Be strong in the Lord, when your FAITH is being TESTED

We take for granted the good fortune that God grants us daily. We have merited no favor with God and God does not have to do anything for us. God works and moves in our lives as He will. It is certainly not because we have been so good or we have been so faithful. We must be humble and we must stay faithful. There are going to be times in your lives when your faith will be tested. Keep in mind that God does not test us, but our faith. You may think that when your faith is being tested that you are on trial, that's not the case. We are called to come to God by faith, to trust God by faith, and to be faithful unto death. We cannot please God without faith, neither can we be saved without faith. Your life is built on what you believe. What you learn as a child to the age of an adult will be your foundation. Doing these years of your life you are taught basic life skills. You learn how to dress yourself, you learn about the importance of hygiene and about eating the right food. Social skills are key to becoming productive, and interactive with others in society. God has given every man a reasonable portion of faith that can be increased. Faith is increased by the Word of God. As we learn and as we work our faith should grow. Trusting in God is the foundation of faith. When we have faith in God, all things are possible. We must believe and not doubt God's ability. There will come a day when your Christian faith will be CHALLENGED (tested). The three Hebrew boys were able to pass the test because of their faith in God. When your faith is tested be strong in the Lord and trust Him. The three Hebrew boys were facing a fiery furnace, but they did not waver in their faith. In the bible (KJV), read Daniel 3:8-28. This is a great account of Faith. There are three things that we must see when their faith was challenged. 1. First their WITNESS was challenged, when they said, "We will not fall down and worship your golden image, our God is able to deliver us from the fiery furnace, but if not, we will serve Him anyway." 2. Their WALK was challenged, because they were put into the fiery furnace and they walked around in the furnace and they were not consumed. Not one hair on their head had the smell of fire. God was with them! 3. Their WORSHIP was challenged, but they trusted God to deliver them. Then the king blessed God, by saying, "God has sent His angel to deliver His servants that trusted Him and have CHANGED the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God." When your faith is tested, you have two choices; you can give in to doubt and fear or you can trust God...
