Church Referees

Now that you have climbed the rungs of church success. Your position outweighs your work. And now you are a self-appointed referee. You have your flag, whistle, and authority. You can't wait to penalize someone. Leadership is action and not a position. Authority comes with responsibility. You can not enforce rules when you break them yourself. You can not make the rules as you go. It's not an option. Enforcing rules takes self-discipline.

The doorkeeper in the Church has a unique position. Their job is to enforce Church Rules. Welcome is to everyone who enters the Church. Be sure the guest is seated and comfortable to hear a Word from the Lord. It's everyone's job to follow the rules and be on their best behavior. You can only get penalized for sin. Christ the Lord has paid the penalty for our sins. If you are a Church referee, please keep the rules.
