UN-PERISHABLE GOODS

So many times we are worried about our future and saving for retirement (a rainy day). Some of us have an undying desire for great riches and power. Some people will go to any length to obtain what they want. Don't let that become you; work to receive a reward (crown) that will not fade away. Fix your mind on eternal things. In the bible (KJV), St Matthew 6:1921, Jesus teaches His disciples about treasures in Heaven when He said, "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." When we realize that treasures are the actions and decisions we make from the heart, whether good or bad, they are stored up. We must be mindful that our deeds do follow us to our graves. Our goal is to be fruitful in the Lord and store good deeds for eternal life. All of the gold and silver will not save you because there is no salvation in earthly treasures. We store up unperishable-goods by working to receive different crowns. Crowns are symbolic of rewards. As well-seasoned Christians, we should know that we do not work to obtain salvation because salvation is the free gift of God. We have received salvation through the Atoning Work that Jesus Christ finished at Calvary. And by grace, we can WORK to receive a reward that no one can take from us. But, our work must be a work of love and mercy in the name of Jesus. Even when we pray, it must be in the name of Jesus because our best will not please God. For God to reward us for our works, we must work in the name of Jesus. There are FIVE CROWNS that we can work to obtain, read references in (KJV) New Testament for each crown. 1. The Crown of life, James 1:12, this reward is for the Christians who endure tribulation and love the Lord. 2. The Crown of Incorruptible, I Corinthians 9:24-27, we must run to win the race which is set before us, without wavering. 3. The Crown of Rejoicing, I Thessalonians 2:19, this is the soul winner's crown. There is no greater work than bringing sinners to Christ and being obedient to the Great Commission. 4. The Crown of Righteousness, II Timothy 4:58, we are encouraged to endure afflictions and do the work of an evangelist. This crown is for all of us who love the appearance of Christ. We must look forward to that glorious day. 5. The Crown of Glory, I Peter 5:24, This crown is for the FAITHFUL Godcalled pastor, who has fed the flock of God. And he will share this joy with the flock. These are unperishable goods that will not fade away. This is a treasure that will be safe in heaven where moth nor rust will not corrupt and thieves will not be able to break through and steal. Store up some UNPERISHABLE GOODS.

Could you be indicted and charged for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ? If it was against the law. Most Christians would be acquitted, and all charges dropped. The lack of evidence would set them
