Building Confidence

Confidence and courage walk hand in hand. The fear of failure sometimes gets the best of us. We must be taught to be brave. Men have lost their lives being too bold. When there is no confidence, what will you do? Giving up is not an option. When you make a mistake, learn from it and move on. Don't let your disabilities dictate your abilities. Be courageous and face life head-on.
Having confidence in others can help build your self-confidence. Reaching goals is only a stepping-stone. When you realize that winners never cheat and cheaters never win, what is the prize of knowing that you cheated to win? Be Honest!
The foundation of confidence is hope and trusting the Word of God.
Being let down by someone you trust is only a setback. Psalm 31:24: "Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." We must build our hope and trust on nothing less than the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ becomes the center of our lives when we are born again. Being Christ-like is our goal. Christ often taught his disciples, "be of good cheer, I have overcome this world." We can overcome this world by following in the Light of Christ. Putting on the whole armor of God is all the confidence that we need.
