Trust the Lord

If you are broken-hearted and sad, give God a chance. The psalmist David encourages us to taste and see the goodness of God. David experienced the benefits of trusting the Lord. Psalm 37: 1-2 warned of the wickedness of men. Verse 3-7 encourages us to put our trust in God.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass." There are three things the psalmist points out. Trusting God is the foundation of your spiritual walk. God will keep you safe from unseen danger. When we have joy in serving the Lord, He will give us everything we need. The desires of our hearts should be spiritual gifts. We should work out of commitment and not out of obligation. We can find rest when we Trust, Delight, and Commit our way to the Lord.
