The Power of Persuasion

Are you a leader or are you a follower?  This is a question that everyone should ask themselves.  It’s up to you, be all that you can be!  It is not a sign of weakness because you are a follower.  In fact there no born leaders, there are great leaders because they were good followers.  You can’t be a great leader if you don’t know how to follow.  You may have all of the qualities to be a good leader, but the lack of training and a bad attitude could hinder your efforts.  A negative attitude will hinder the development of the skills needed to be an effective leader.  Followers are hearers and they often focus on the messenger more than the message.  Can you motivate someone to follow you?  The power of persuasion is key to being successful in every endeavor. The work that you do will speak for you.  People will doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do.  Christ calls all Christians to be witnesses; then you must respond to the call and develop the skills to lead lost souls to Christ.  Without bible study and a good prayer life you will not be effective.  We must WATCH, FIGHT and PRAY.  These are virtues that you need to attract followers and for your own spiritual growth.  On your WATCH, you must stay focus on every task.  Staying focus is not easy, because of the distractions in this walk of life; you can easily get off tract.  Then you must be attentive to your surroundings, be aware of the persuasion (influence) of evil, and the work of the enemy.  We FIGHT against an enemy that we cannot see, but we should recognize his work.  All Christians must stand against sin.  The work of darkness is on the rise, because no one wants to address the problem of sin and it’s DESTRUCTION.  The appetite for the pleasure of sin is unquenchable.  The craving and the appetite is never satisfied.  Sometimes when you stand up for what is right you will have to stand alone.  If you trust God, He will stand with you.  God gives us the power to overcome every obstacle, but we must follow His lead.  By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome temptation; but sin will defeat the best of us when we fail to pray.  We can overcome sin through PRAYER and our willingness to follow Christ.  Christ leads us on the path of rightness and there are no short cuts.  The Holy Spirit gives us strength when we get weak.  Praying is the way to stay in touch with God.  There is power in PRAYER!  We must be witnesses in truth and in deed.  The power of persuasion is a gift from God, so please don’t abuse your gift, but use your gift to practice what you preach…
