The CRY that STOPPED God

Blindness is more than not being able to see, without spiritual discernment; you are spiritually BLIND. Bartimeus suffered from a physical blindness, but he had a SPIRITAUL AWEARNESS. Bartimeus had heard about the great work of Jesus how He healed the lame and they walked, cause the deaf to hear. Undoubtedly, there was negative talk about Jesus as well. This blind man received something that he was not expecting. A miracle! He hears the word that Jesus is passing by his way and he began to cry out, saying “Jesus thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” But the people around him said he should hold his peace: “but cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.” Key verse 49, And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. The cry for MERCY caused God to stand still. You cannot stop God until you get His attention. We can get God’s attention by admitting that we are sinners and confessing our sins. We must call on the name Jesus. When Bartimeus got the attention of Jesus, they told him, “Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.” Verse 50 says, And he casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. Casting a way his garment represents letting the things of this world go, letting life’s problems go and come to Jesus. Then, Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord that I might receive my sight. Now understand the change in Bartimeus, he now acknowledge Jesus as Lord. And Jesus said un to him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. When we pray and cry for mercy, God will give us spiritual sight that we may come out of darkness and follower Jesus. Then we are ready to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and walk in the Light of Christ. You must trust God to grant unto you the miracle of the New Birth, without the new birth, you will continue in spiritual darkness. If we are going to truly follow Jesus, we must be fill with the Holy Spirit. Jesus makes it possible to for all born again believers to follow His path of righteousness. It is through the power of prayer and bearing your cross that make a difference in our lives. We must learn how to pray, there is no secret to praying, but there is a formula. A.C.T.S. A is for ADORATION, C is for CONFESSION, T is for THANKSGIVING and S is for SUPPLICATION. Prayer is the KEY to spiritual awareness. God will answer prayer…   Read St. Mark 10:46-52
