The Contagious Disease of Hate

When infected, we sometimes don't realize how or when it happened. One side effect is blindness. Without treatment, it gets worse. We are blind when we hate someone because they don't look the same or have what we have. Hate spreads quickly from person to person through direct or indirect contact. "The pyramid of hatred contains five steps. Bias, individual acts of prejudice, discrimination, violence, and genocide." Hatred is done out of choice. Even if taught to hate, you still have a choice. Hatred is not an emotion; it's a seed. Seeds grow without cultivation. "Love, unity, and resilience are more powerful than hate. "If you can be taught to hate, you can learn to love." Words of MLK. The disease of hatred is begotten from a lie. The adversary, the devil, deceives mankind through division. By transforming into an angel of light, he deceives people by using a reflector of the true light that blinds. The devil makes the wrong things look right, and the right things look wrong. The Light of Christ exposes all deeds of darkness. The devil hates man because God gives man free will.

Jesus taught his disciples to prepare for the hatred of this world by saying, "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." Jesus heals hatred with compassion and love.
