Street Life
Living in the streets is different from living on the streets. Life in the streets is a choice. You must become streetwise to survive. Dealing with people can be a challenge. There are three types of people. Those who have, those who have not, and those who have and have paid for what they have. The game draws people to the streets. The game is to be sold, not told. You must work the streets, or they will work you. Danger is a factor! Be careful. Deception is the motive. Can you trust those who you ride with? Do you know what you are drinking, or what you are smoking? Getting high is the pleasure drug of choice. When you get high, you are running out of options. You can get cleaned up, locked up, or covered up.
Always keep your options open. It is not wise to walk in the darkness of your mind. Being able to think clearly is key to your transition out of the streets. You are fortunate if you find the Lord Jesus Christ in the streets. The Word of God is the guiding light to a successful life.
Philippians 2:5: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." We are encouraged not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. The choice is to live in Christ or die in the streets.
