People in the Church

Three types of people at church. You have those who are more concerned about the activity of the physical church; they are known as Churchians.  Chruchians are very zealous about what they do.  They are worried about the positions in the church and who holds them. They are very outspoken. Please don't cross them. They will retaliate. They are easily misled and are known to be busybodies. Gossip is the highlight of their lives. 1. The Churchian is always talking about the church, the pastor, and about what he is doing or not doing. You can't please them! They look down on other members so that they might lift themselves. It is not to say that they are not Christians, but they are carnal-minded (spiritual babes). There is no sign of spiritual growth. 2. The Christian is the backbone of the Church, and often makes many sacrifices for the building of the kingdom of God. Christ is the center of the Christian's life. Loving people and saving souls is the example of true Christian followers. Real witnesses of Christ are visible in the world today. We don't need a mask to say who we are. We have put on Christ. If you want Christ to be seen in your life, take off the mask! 3. The spiritual hitchhiker is alone for the ride. This is the amen corner (favorite pew) of the church; don't get caught sitting in their seat. The spiritual hitchhiker gets on board with the hard workers of the church, but they are unproductive. And they are quick to say, "Look at what we have done." They will take credit for your work. They enjoy all of the benefits of the Church, but they never do their part. They are content with riding on everyone else. Don't let that be you! Follow Christ and be an effective witness.
