Cruise Control
A life on cruise control can lead to destruction. When you cruise for the wrong reason, trouble can follow. Road rage is a serious problem. This is a time to practice defensive driving. It's okay to take an off-ramp and go a different way. A quick decision could save your life. You don't have to respond to every hand gesture.
Keep your life out of the fast lane. Your goal is to be safe and reach your destination.
In your spiritual life, cruise control will not work. You want to be under Christ's control. Safety is the key. Christ will not be your co-pilot; He must be the pilot. He is Lord of all or lord not at all. Becoming spiritual is a decision. Being Christ-like turns off cruise control. The Holy Spirit must control our lives daily. Let the Spirit regenerate you for your daily walk. You are empowered to overcome active sin. Your work and worship must give God the glory. We fall short at times; it's grace that keeps us pressing toward the higher mark. Give God a chance to renew your mind. Live your life trusting the Lord. The Word of God and prayer will keep you in times of danger.
We are sealed in Christ until His return.
