Overcoming Rejection

Witnessing is not easy; it is a challenge for most of us. Preparation is the key to success. The Word of God and a good prayer life will enhance your abilities. A positive mental attitude will attract people to you. Be a good listener; talking is sometimes a turn-off. People need to be encouraged. Hope is the center of our message. Being rejected can cause you to respond negatively. People will ignore you or don't pay attention, don't take it personally.

You must be able to set goals, follow up, and follow through. Make plans to talk to people one on one about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Be careful of your approach. Usually, you can take a direct approach with a family member or someone you know. Use an indirect conversation with strangers. People are more receptive when they can relate to you. No, and not right now is an acceptable answer. Pray for the sin-sick-souls everywhere and be an effective witness.
