On the Battlefield for the Lord
As soldiers, we must WATCH, FIGHT, PRAY, and take a stand against sin. Paul tells Timothy to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. II Timothy 2:3-4, "Thou therefore endue hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." We must choose to please God in the power of the Holy Spirit. We can not do it alone. We honor God by being faithful to Christ. We can't quit! There is no glory in quitting. Stay on the battlefield and receive a reward for Holding on and Holding out.
Our adversary is conning and wicked. The devil uses tools of deceit. He will entice you to do wrong and make you think you are doing right.
We are encouraged to be strong in the Lord and put on the armor of God. Ephesians 6:11-17, "Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:" Our faith in God helps us overcome a world of sin. Take a stand against sin and we have the victory in Christ Jesus.
