Jesus Christ

Today I want to talk about Christ. I want to introduce you to Him as Lord and Savior. Do you know Him? He has a Resume of great qualities that no one else can claim. No other man can claim, "I am that I am". I have confirmation from God the Father: Matthew 3:17: "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Could you introduce someone to Christ? Or share the plan of Salvation. I want to introduce Him as Savior and DELIVER.

  1. First, make sure you know Him. There is a difference between knowing about Him and knowing Him. Explain: Showing up at someone's house when they don't know you.

  2. Christ comes into our lives by invitation. Then we should look for a change. That change takes place when we are born again. The new birth is the OPERATION of God. Explain: God does for you what you can't do for yourself. Your righteousness will not save you from your sins.

  3. Christ transforms our lives from the sinful way of living to a spirit-filled life. Romans 12:2: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." The TRANSFORMATION is: "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus." Three Changes. 1. Transitional, from the old life to the new life. 2. Transferal, from one side to the other, and 3. Transactional: When you go to the bank, make a deposit before you make a withdrawal.

When you pray for Deliverance, it comes when you repent and forsake active sin. Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

  4. Christ delivers us from the PENALTY of sin when we accept the gift of Salvation. (2.) Then He delivers us from the POWER of sin. If sin dominates you, it's because you surrender to it. The third one is hard to overcome because we love the PLEASURE of sin. This is a time to let go and let God work in your life. Finally, Christ delivers us from the PRESENCE of sin.
