Here am I; send me

Have you answered the calling of the Lord? God is calling the Church to arise out of sleep and evangelize. Many hear the call but turn a deft ear. What's your response? Study your Bible! Learn of the calling of Isaiah and his response to God. Isaiah 6:8. "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me." Can you respond to the call to evangelize? Jesus taught His followers to be more concerned about people than themselves. Jesus gave His disciples a commission to go into the world and preach the Gospel of repentance. Before you go, you must become a mighty prayer warrior.

In the instructions, He promised to be with them.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." We have the promise of Christ to be with us as we go and do the work of an evangelist. Get your commission before you start your mission. The great commission is threefold.

  1. Compassion

  2. Concern

  3. Contact

The Word of God is your sword; the Holy Spirit is your guide. Your trust in God is your reason for going.

It is odd and insane to think you can do the same thing and receive different results. People who don't like change are considered to be capricious. Being neutral and indecisive will get you nowhere.
