Christians ought not have to wear a mask to be in the world. If you are ashamed of Christ, He will be ashamed of you. We are called out of the world to go back into the world as the children of God. There is no need for a long robe or a long sad face. There is no need to pretend and there is no reason to lie. You are still you, but with a different way of seeing things and a new way of thinking. When you refuse to let the world go, then you want to put on the mask. The mask can only hide the face. You can change the color and paint over the stripes of a tiger, and put spots on it to make it look like a leopard, but it is still a tiger. If you cannot change the nature of something, it's still the same. People are the same, the change must happen on the inside so that it may be displayed on the outside. When we are born again, God gives us a new nature so that we don't have to wear a mask. Hiding behind a mask, will not conceal who you are. People who know you recognize your ways, when you wear your mask, you are only fooling yourself. Peter one of the Lord's most outspoken disciples, found out that you can fit in with the crowd, but you can't hide what God has done for you. When you put on your mask, you deny that you know Christ. And someone is always willing to point you out. You cannot hide the fact that the Word of God has caused you to change. Your old friends don't want to drink and party with you because you are not the same. YOU CAN'T DO IT LIKE YOU USE TO! They don't like the new you. Every born again Christian ought to be able to say "I've been CHANGED." And pull off the mask of deception. Then on the other hand there are those who want to put on the mask of Christianity. They dress up and look real nice on the outside, but on the inside they are raving wolves. Being nice will not get it. When someone makes you mad, you can't kill them. When you see something that don't belong to you, you cannot take it just because no one is looking. The real nature (real you) will show up. In the bible (KJV), Paul teaches about the deception of false teachers and leaders. He warns the Corinthians that the false teachers wanted to be like those who are sent by God. II Corinthians 11:13-15, "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. You can't fool God at no time. The devil's greatest commodity (tool) is his lies. And the greatest lie ever told, is that he (devil) does not exist. To LIE or Not to lie, is man’s greatest temptation. It is the truth that makes us free. Be not DECEIVED! Be for real and take off the mask…
