Why do You Follow Christ?

Are you bearing your cross or wearing a cross? When you wear a cross, you can pull it off. The burdens of carrying our cross are sometimes more than we ask for. My answer is that Christ invited me to follow Him. Following Christ is not easy. You must be willing to change and be born again. The journey is SPIRITUAL. Walking by faith will help you be successful. Trust the Lord when trouble comes into your life. Prayer keeps us connected to an unlimited source. Active sin hinders your connection.

Christ leads us on the path of righteousness for His name's sake. As we follow Him, we don't have to walk alone. Our walk is safe in the Lord. We have the aid of the Holy Spirit to comfort us when we fall. Falling is not failure; it's when you don't get up. Following Christ leads to a hill called Calvary. At Calvary, you should find your purpose. The joy of the Lord is greater than the pain and suffering.

Your invitation is personal. Luke 9:23 "And he said unto them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follw me." It's up to you to respond to the call or to reject it.
