The Danger of Words

Words are spiritual and effective for communication. Be careful of what you say because it is the only thing you own. Your word is your bond. You will have to give an account of every word that comes out of your mouth. Your words can be encouraging or hurtful. Jesus taught about accountability. Matthew 12:39-37 "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."
Lies destroy your accountability and make you untrustworthy. The people in your life know you by your actions; the lies you tell are harmful to you. Life is bittersweet when no one trusts you.
Lies are the work of the devil. You become a suspect if you do not believe the truth. Lying comes naturally. No one needs to teach you how to lie. You must be taught to tell the truth. A little white lie has the same impact as a big lie; a half-truth is a WHOLE LIE.
Deception has destroyed many lives. The deceiver has a day of judgment coming. The deception is all around us.
Three lies that the devil wants you to believe, 1. He does not exist. 2. You have plenty of time to seek Christ for Salvation. 3. There is no hell. You must choose to become a believer in the saving power of Christ the Lord. Non-believers will have the same outcome as the deceiver. The Lake of Fire!
