Rewards vs Awards

You could win a race and receive an award for a blue first-place ribbon. You could be the best actor and receive an Academy Award. Awards are temporal; rewards are eternal. We can not earn salvation, but we can work to obtain rewards. Crowns are symbolic of rewards.

There are FIVE CROWNS that we can work to obtain, read references in (KJV) New Testament for each crown. 1. The Crown of life, James 1:12, this reward is for the Christians who endure tribulation and love the Lord. 2. The Crown of Incorruptible, I Corinthians 9:24-27, we must run to win the race which is set before us, without wavering. 3. The Crown of Rejoicing, I Thessalonians 2:19, this is the soul winner's crown. There is no greater work than bringing sinners to Christ. We must be obedient to the Great Commission. 4. The Crown of Righteousness, II Timothy 4:5-8, we are encouraged to endure afflictions and do the work of an evangelist. This crown is for all of us who love the appearance of Christ. We must look forward to that glorious day. 5. The Crown of Glory, I Peter 5:2-4, This crown is for the FAITHFUL Godcalled pastor, who has fed the flock of God. And he will share this joy with the flock. " And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away."

Study the scriptures to know what is to come. Christians should know that Jesus Christ is God's Faithful Witness.

Part-Time Christians

It is odd and insane to think you can do the same thing and receive different results. People who don't like change are considered to be capricious. Being neutral and indecisive will get you nowhere.
