Overcoming Sin

Sin has an impact on every life. No one can say I am not a sinner. We were all born in sin; sin destroys our relationship with God. Sin separates the creature from the Creator. We were all made sinners because of the DISOBEDIENCE of Adam. We are made the righteousness of God because of the OBEDIENCE of Christ. Through Adam, sin and death entered the world. Adam received a COMMANDMENT (law) from God; he broke that law. There is a consequence for disobeying God's Word. Sin is like leprosy; it is contagious. It spreads like wildfire; the destruction is devastating. It makes no difference where you go. You can not hide from sin. Because of human nature, the appetite for sin is unquenchable. The craving effect is never satisfied. If you are going to overcome sin, you must first realize what sin is and what the force of evil will do to your life. Sin is evil; the benefits of sin will cause you to die physically and spiritually. The new birth and life in Christ is the only way to overcome sin.
