Make a choice! the World or the Church

Read I John 2:15-17

It is the people of the world who make up the Church. The people of the Church come from the world that they may receive salvation. The world is a place of darkness, and the Church is the light. Jesus is the light of men, and that light is the life of man. Christ (God) is the Creator of the world, and He is the builder of the Church. The world is made of Flesh and Blood, and the Church is Spiritual by the Blood of Christ. The world would be doomed had it not been for the SAVING POWER of Christ. Because of sin, the world died (spiritually), but Christ came to save the world and to give life to all who believe. There has been a struggle between the world and the Church. After hearing the message of Jesus Christ and the good news of salvation, we should be willing to leave the world and come to the Church. But the pride of life and the sinful pleasures of the world hinder all mankind from coming to the Church. It is hard to let the world go! Secularism and Religion have been dominant forces in this world. People are drawn to things that they feel, hear, and see. The message of SECULARISM is a belief that the physical world is self-contained. The Secular world has a drawing effect on people because of low morals and self-preservation. People will do anything to succeed. Poor judgment and bad influence have been the downfall of many strong men. Religion has been on the decline because so many groups claim to have the one true religion. But when there is no hope, people will try anything. A drowning man will reach for a floating leaf to survive. Religion offers hope to all mankind. Human beings are created to have hope in something or someone other than themselves. Because of religiosity (feeling religious) and deception, man would rather die in disbelief than believe in the Word of God and live. The message of hope is the foundation of the Church. In a world of darkness, the Church is the light that guides everyone to Christ. Jesus Christ came into the world, not to condemn the world, but to save us. The world was lost in sin, but Christ gave His life and paid a ransom for all mankind. We can choose to remain a part of this world, or we can become a part of the Church. Choose today.
