So many of us are guilty of not lifting the name of Jesus. We say we love Him, but our actions deny our claim. We are His witnesses, we ought to bless the name of the Lord at all times. We must set goals and work to achieve them. What is your purpose for being a Christian? Our goal should be to be Christ-like. In the world today, Christians are not very bold because their personal feelings often get in their way. In ministry, you must get your personal feelings out of the way. The enemy knows what you like and what you will do. We all want some attention directed our way. When you want everyone to notice your work, you take credit for someone else's work, then it is not about Christ, but it's about you. There is no honor in being a hall of famer Christian. People who speak of themselves seek their glory to their shame. They are exposed to their selfishness and pride. When you can not get your pride out of the way, it is a serious problem. PRIDE says "look at me, don't I look good," but being HUMBLE says "see Christ in me." You must choose to be a witness for Christ or seek your glory. In the world of glory, fame is everything. But in the Kingdom of Heaven, glory is for God only. Many people have made the mistake of using the work of the Lord for selfish reasons. Money, fame, and power breeds corruption. Corruption is a seed that will grow wildly out of control. Corruption shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. It is a shame when we expect an award for doing right; we must do right at all costs. There is nothing wrong with having money or being rich, but use your resources, to the glory of the Lord. God has blessed you to be a blessing to someone else. When we fail to witness in giving, we misrepresent Christ. Christ had great compassion for the less fortunate. Remember, ONLY WHAT YOU DO FOR Christ will last. You can not work to receive your salvation, because it is the FREE GIFT of God. Work to earn a reward (a crown of righteousness) no one can take away. People will be exposed when Christ returns, and their deeds shall judge them. They will find out their work was in vain. On the great day of recompense, God will reward the faithful with a crown. But the unfaithful will receive an award of shame for their evil deeds.
