Forsake your sins

Sin is evil; the benefits of sin will cause you to die physically and spiritually. Because of human nature, the appetite for sin is unquenchable. There is a craving effect that’s never satisfied. The Bible shows us the consequences of sin. The cost of sin. In the Bible. (KJV), Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The Word is very clear about who is a sinner in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” You are a sinner whether you admit it or not. If you do not admitt you are a sinner, you're blinded by the power of sin. It will destroy you. Hell will claim your soul. You can overcome sin through prayer. Jesus Christ is the only hope of being saved. To be saved, you must confess your sins, forsake your sins, and be born again by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus teaches His disciples to look for comfort. St. John 16:7-11

The first thing the Holy Spirit does is convict men of the sin of unbelief. He convicts men that Jesus is the righteousness of God. Out of conviction, we learn that the power of sin and the work of Satan are defeated.

Without conviction, there is no commitment. The Work of the Church is not effective because of the like of commitment. The disciples of Christ were bold because of their conviction. Their conviction caused them to be great workers of the Gospel Ministry.

Serving Jesus Christ was their objection without a doubt. Remember, sinning is a choice.
