Behind the MASK! Is that you?

Posted on April 30, 2017 at 2:45 PM Comments comments (0)

Christians ought not have to wear a mask to be in the world. If you are ashamed of Christ, He will be ashamed of you. We are called out of the world to go back into the world as the children of God. There is no need for a long robe or a long sad face. There is no need to pretend and there is no reason to lie. You are still you, but with a different way of seeing things and a new way of thinking. When you refuse to let the world go, then you want to put on the mask. The mask can only hide the face. You can change the color and paint over the stripes of a tiger, and put spots on it to make it look like a leopard, but it is still a tiger. If you cannot change the nature of something, it's still the same. People are the same, the change must happen on the inside so that it may be displayed on the outside. When we are born again, God gives us a new nature so that we don't have to wear a mask. Hiding behind a mask, will not conceal who you are. People who know you recognize your ways, when you wear your mask, you are only fooling yourself. Peter one of the Lord's most outspoken disciples, found out that you can fit in with the crowd, but you can't hide what God has done for you. When you put on your mask, you deny that you know Christ. And someone is always willing to point you out. You cannot hide the fact that the Word of God has caused you to change. Your old friends don't want to drink and party with you because you are not the same. YOU CAN'T DO IT LIKE YOU USE TO! They don't like the new you. Every born again Christian ought to be able to say "I've been CHANGED." And pull off the mask of deception. Then on the other hand there are those who want to put on the mask of Christianity. They dress up and look real nice on the outside, but on the inside they are raving wolves. Being nice will not get it. When someone makes you mad, you can't kill them. When you see something that don't belong to you, you cannot take it just because no one is looking. The real nature (real you) will show up. In the bible (KJV), Paul teaches about the deception of false teachers and leaders. He warns the Corinthians that the false teachers wanted to be like those who are sent by God. II Corinthians 11:13-15, "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. You can't fool God at no time. The devil's greatest commodity (tool) is his lies. And the greatest lie ever told, is that he (devil) does not exist. To LIE or Not to lie, is man’s greatest temptation. It is the truth that makes us free. Be not DECEIVED! Be for real and take off the mask…

Peace in the VALLEY

Posted on April 22, 2017 at 2:50 PM Comments comments (0)

When you have the peace of God in your life; sleep is sweet. The trials of life will not defeat you when you are in Christ the Lord. Without peace the world would be in total chaos. It is the love of God that gives this world balance. Without love we would all be barbarians and hatred would rule the world. Bloodshed would have no end and life as we know it would cease. There is a TWO-WAY STREET that goes through the valley, one road leads to eternal life and the other road leads to eternal destruction. As you travel to your destination there will be obstacles to overcome. You must overcome Fear and Anxiety. Every traveler must be aware, of DARKNESS, EVIL and DEATH. If you are traveling alone you are in great danger, but you don’t have be alone. Be aware of the propaganda and deception that you will encounter. The propaganda is that God did not create man or this world. The truth is rejected by science and fools. The fool has said in his heart, “there is no God.” Science is the way of the world, “seeing is believing” non-believers will not believe in God the Spirit unless they can see Him. You don’t have to see God to believe in Him. You must feel God in your heart. Believe in Jesus Christ and be born again, you must become spiritual. Then you can experience the love and peace of God. Peace comes only when you are willing to follow Christ faithfully. The valley is full of darkness, but Christ is the Light. King David the psalmist said it best, “The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want.” Christ restores and saves the soul. After restoration, the Lord leads in the path of rightness for His name sake. Even when you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you can find comfort in the Lord  because He is with you. When you follow the Lord you must trust in His power to keep you safe. Don’t get caught up in the religious whoopla, which has no spiritual value. There are so many of them (religions), if the blind lead the blind destruction is the outcome. Unless you trust God, you will remain weak and blind. Everyone is seeking a breakthrough and Christ is the only answer. When Christ is the head of your life you will have some mountain top experiences.  But staying on top of the mountain is not an option because the WALK and WORK is in the valley. By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to have a fellowship with God as our Father. God responds to the prayer and the cry of His children. When the children of God suffer for righteousness, peace is found only in Christ. As you travel through the valley let the Holy Spirit be your guide and give God the glory…

The CONSEQUENCES of a bad DECISION

Posted on March 24, 2017 at 5:00 PM Comments comments (0)

When you make the wrong choice, correct it and move on. Take the time to look at your options and make the right decision. You will learn the consequences of making bad decisions are a part of life. Learn from your mistakes, each one should help you grow. It is a bad decision when you hold on to the past. Holding on to the past will only cause more problems. Don’t let your past dictate your future, you have a CHOICE. We like to blame others for our shortcomings, but they don’t have to take the blame. You must suffer the consequences for your wrong decisions and failures. You are responsible for your ACTIONS. It’s time to stand for what you believe. You must do your very best to become all that you can be in the Lord. Regrets will not take the place of a mistake of saying the wrong thing. You must make a sincere apology for the wrong things that you said and for the wrong things you have done. We all have sin and regrets of one thing or another. We can’t change the past but we can look to a better future. To have a better future, we must confess our sins and be born again and become a part of God’s family. Your soul is depending on you to make the right choice. No confession and no repentance, your soul will be separated from the mercy of God forever. If you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, he will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Your money will have no value on judgement day. You don’t want to miss heaven and go to hell by making the wrong decision. Hell is waiting on all of those who reject Christ. The time is coming for all to give account of their deeds and there will be no acceptable excuse. Jesus makes it very clear when He said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” This is a warning about waiting until it is too late. Seek your soul’s salvation while you can (alive) because no man can work when death comes (the night). God is calling you to come to Christ, don’t delay, repent and be saved today. Eternity is a long time to spend in hell. If you go to hell you can’t blame anyone but yourself, the Word of salvation has been preached and you have a chance to see God for yourself. Work while it is day and don’t let you work be in vain. Great is your reward in heaven…

Stay CONNECTED to the VINE

Posted on March 5, 2017 at 4:35 PM Comments comments (0)

When you understand the word STAY, you must realize that it means to continue. No matter what you must be committed to not being moved. One of our biggest problems is staying power; any little thing can shake our faith. The real problem is when you do not have a SOURCE that you can depend on. Most people rely on resources and the sad thing about resources, they run out and they dry up. When I say stay connected to the vine, I’m saying stick with you SOURCE. If your source is mammon (money), you will find it hard to find at times and when it runs out, what are you going to do? Many strong men have become weak because they trusted in a resource that came to an end. Don’t put your trust in things nor trust in a god that cannot hear and answer you. In your time of need you need a God of love, mercy and compassion. In the bible Jesus teaches a lesson about staying connected to the SOURCE. Jesus uses a parable of a vine and its branches to make His lesson clear. In the (KJV) St. John 15: 4-5, “Abide in me, and I in you, As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.” There are so many things that can disconnect you from your source. If you have no faith, you will not stay connected to the vine. If you fail to pray, your sin will hinder your spiritual growth and you will not be fruitful. Prayer is the lifeline to God. If you love money and the world more than God, it will separate you from your source. God is our UNLIMINTED SOURCE and we can depend on Him. When you love God and follow Christ you are able to produce spiritual fruit. In Christ we have our movement and our being. Jesus is teaching us that the way of love is the KEY to abiding in the vine (Him). Then there is a warning, if you fail to stay connected. Read verse 6, “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered: and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” God does not entertain man in his folly, you must make the decision to live in Christ or to die in your sins. Jesus wants you to know that keeping His commandments will help you to abide in His love. Then He tells us that He has abided in the Father’s love and we must do the same to stay connected…

The DISCONTENTED Heart

Posted on February 26, 2017 at 10:15 PM Comments comments (0)

What do you give someone who has everything? No matter how much we get we are never satisfied. Discontentment is a reproducing seed that starts in the heart. Arrogance, conceit, and anxiety are the ways of discontentment. The saying, “I can’t get no satisfaction” describes most of our personalities. The more we get the more we want. The desires of the heart are greater than we will ever become. When you are consumed by selfishness and conceit, it will get the best of you. If you don’t get your way about everything it causes you to become unhappy.  Happiness comes from within and not by material things that we possess.  You must first learn to be happy with yourself and be content with the things that have.  When you worry about what others have, you will measure your success by what they have. The disappointment of not having what others have will cause you to be discontent. The bible (KJV) warns us about being content with the things that God has blessed us with. There are so many who are less fortune than we are. In Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conversations be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” We are reminded to not talk about or wish for the possessions of others, because God has blessed you according to His will.  And above all, we have the promise that God will never leave us nor forsake us. Being content is up to you, it’s a decision that you should make.  God has blessed us with eternal life through Christ and you cannot put a price on salvation.  Being saved by the atoning sacrificial work of the Lord Jesus Christ should make us the most content people in the world. You must learn to be content through prayer and being an effective witness for the Lord.  We have no time to waste; we must be humble and serve God with all that we have.  Just be content and let the Lord have His way in your life and everything will work out in a great way…

A Life of SACRIFICE and SERVICE

Posted on February 18, 2017 at 8:15 PM Comments comments (0)

There are three types of people in the world, those who have and those who have not and those who have not paid for what they have.  Then there are those who are willing to share what they have.  Being a giver is one of life's greatest rewards.  Giving is a learned behavior no one has to teach you to be selfish.  When we are children we should learn the value of sharing.  Selfishness will be hinder your spiritual growth and the way that you think of others.  No one should have to tell you that you can't have your way about everything.  Don't let selfishness be your downfall.  It's gointg to  take a made up mind to serve the Lord and to do His will.  Many have made the decision to serve, but they never get started.  Serving is an ACTION word.  DO NOTHING means just what it says.  It takes Commitment to start a TASK and Consistency to finish a task.  Gettin started is the key to reaching a goal.  In the bible (KJV), Johua 24:15b, Joshua was teaching the people of God to make up their mind to seve the true and living God and to fear the Lord.  And that they should serve God in sincerity and in truth.  Then he warned them about serving other gods on the other side of the flood and in Egypt.  Verse 15 part b, then he says, "but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."  In this day and time you must make the SACRIFICE to serve the Lord.  We must follow Christ and He will give you the ABUNDANT LIFE.  It' a life of sacrifice and service; it's a life of being SEPARATED  from the cares of the world.  We must give our lives to Christ to receive a Spirit-Filled life.  You are filled with the Holy Spirit for the power to be a witness and to do the will of God.  You are filled with the Spirit to walk in the Spirit.  When we walk in the Spirit, we walk in the light of Christ our Savior.  Evil and darkness is the way of the world and we need the Holy Spirit to help in the time of persecution.  You must ask yourself, how can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?  First, you must have the desire to be filled with the Spirit and second, you must ask the Holly Spirit to fill you.  The Holy Spirit is God and He knows your heart.  You must pray to ovecome your sins and you will see a CHANGE in your life.  Love God with all your heart and let God love others through you.  This is the beginning of a life of sacriice and service.  Be careful to not become self-serving, it's a personal problem that many servants have today.  Make God FIRST and Christ will be ACTIVE in your life through the Holy Spirit...

The TRUTH

Posted on February 12, 2017 at 4:15 PM Comments comments (0)

Do you know the truth or are you a part of the big lie? Lying is within human nature; no one needs to teach you how to lie, but you must be taught to tell the truth.  When you fantasize about how you would like for life to be, the light of the truth shows REALITY.  We lie to ourselves when we will not face the truth.  You become a co-signer to a lie.  Lying is an attempt to deceive, but the truth will expose a lie.  We all have experienced the consequences of lying.  A lie is a COUNTERFEIT (imposter) of the truth.  The adversary (devil) is a counterfeiter, making the truth look like a lie and a lie to look like the truth. The devil deceives the world to do his work and to worship him, without the world realizing it.  When you are blind you must accept the fact that you cannot see, but you must come to the Light of the world.  This type of blindness is called SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS and only Christ can cure it.  When you are spiritual blind, the truth is hidden from you.  Then you go through life not knowing the truth, living in a lie.   A lie is tricky because it’s spiritual; it has been around since the devil deceived Eve.  Lies are not self-supporting; one lie depends on another lie to be perpetual.  With a support system in place, this is the beginning of a work.  In the bible, Jesus talks to the religious leaders (Jews) about knowing who God is and the work that God sent Christ to do.  The leaders did not understand the words of Christ because they were spiritually blind and didn’t know it.  Jesus wanted them to know that God was not their father.  In St. John 8:44, (KJV), “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” Not knowing the truth will be your destruction, if you fail to accept Christ as your personal Savior.  The greatest lie ever told, is that there is no devil and that there is no hell.  If you believe that there is a heaven that God has prepared for those who love Him, why wouldn’t He prepare a place for those who do not love God.  We will never know the truth if we do not make the decision to be born again and become spiritual. By the power of the Holy Spirit we are born again.  Christ the Savior of the world leads the children of the Light to God the Father. We must believe in the DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ. This is the TRUTH and nothing but the truth… So help me God…

How to KILL your Pride

Posted on February 5, 2017 at 8:40 PM Comments comments (0)

Pride is harmful to a man and his soul.  Sometimes we feel like our pride is the only thing that we have that no one can take from us. Holding on to your pride can be devastating.  Try paying your light bill with your pride and you will find yourself sitting in the dark.  When you are too proud to ask for something that you need, what do you do? The pride of life can destroy your soul and hurt other around you.  It’s like a cancer, when it goes untreated it only gets worse. In the bible you can find many scriptures about the danger of pride. In the King James Version, Proverbs 16:18, “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Pride is in the heart of a man and only God knows the heart. Pride says look me, “don’t I look good,” but humility says “see Christ in me.”  Your pride will not pick you up after a great fall.  Pride hinders your thoughts and the way that you see things in life.  If you can only see life your way, you have a closed mind. When a man is lifted up with pride, he will fall into the condemnation of the devil. We must put off PRIDE and put on HUMILITY.  Jesus said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  Pride is of the flesh and the New Birth is of the Spirit of God. You must make a choice, to follow Christ which leads to eternal life or to die in your sinful pride. The path of righteousness is the first step to putting away of your pride. When you are born again, your life is in Christ, and your pride dies in the flesh.  The new birth, causes a CHANGE to your life that only God can give.  You are still you, but there is something new on the inside of you that was not there before.  The way you think and the way that you see things ought to be different.   Then get ready for the CHALLENGE to live for God.  The struggle within is going to be a daily fight.  You must choice to do that which is right over the pleasure of sin.  You must study the Word of God and learn how to pray.  Life’s ups and downs and the fear of failure will help you to realize the need for prayer.  Prayer will help you to overcome your sinful pride and humble yourself before God.  Prayer is not going to change things, but it is going to change you.  When you put on humility, it will kill your pride… Let everything that you do, do it for the glory of God in the name of Jesus…

Not without a COST

Posted on January 29, 2017 at 8:05 PM Comments comments (0)

The freedom that we enjoy daily comes not without a price.  The people that serve in the military, law enforcement, health care and many others, make a sacrifice for our safety.  We often take for granted the freedom that we have.  Many people would like to have the security of knowing that they are protected by Constitutional Rights.  These rights come at a cost most of us are not willing to pay.  Your right to vote cost many people their lives.  Freedom of religion is one of the greatest rights that we have in this day and time.  Everyone on earth should have the right to serve and worship God.  We don’t all serve the same God, but it should be your choice.  Don’t let anyone take your CHOICE from you.  Some of us have to pay greatly for some of the bad choices that we’ve made.  When you make a mistake, correct it and move on. It is a bad choice to not learn from, not only your mistakes, but you should learn from the mistakes of others. The bible teaches us that a man will reap what he sows.  Many of us deny the sin in our lives, but it is sin that beset us and blinds our eyes.  When you do wrong, your own deeds will judge you.   When you do right your work will speak for you.  You must stand for the truth and for what’s right, there is a REWARD in doing right.   It takes a made up mind to follow Christ, you must be committed.  Christ leads us on the path of righteousness for His Name sake.   The journey leads to Gethsemane, (a symbolic place in life) that you can’t go around.  You must go to Gethsemane it’s a place where you enter the joy and the suffering of Christ.  This is the time you learn how to pray and you learn to trust God.  In the mist of our suffering, we ought to experience the power of the Lord.   Suffering is not a reason to stop working, but a reason to do more work.  At the end of Gethsemane the path leads to a hill called Calvary.  When you get to Calvary, you must understand that it’s not what you have done for God, but what God has done for you.  The SACRIFICAL work that Christ finished upon Calvary was for the redemption of all mankind everywhere.  Christ gave His life for the people of God and for the world.   No sin goes unpaid for; Christ paid a ransom for our liberty. No one could pay this debt but the Son of God, Jesus Christ. His DEATH, BURIAL and RESSURECTION from the grave paid for our salvation.  The cost is all that you have, to do the work of Christ.  Ninety Nine and a half will not prevail, YOU GOT TO GIVE 100%...

CROSSROADS

Posted on January 21, 2017 at 2:30 PM Comments comments (0)

Where are you in life? If you don’t know, you should consider your options. The first thing you need to do is STOP, LOOK and LISTEN.  If you don’t like how things are going in your life, STOP and make a change.  It’s up to you!  You deserve the very best that God has to offer.  Eternal life is not a joke its real; all you have to do is believe the Word of God.  You must stop and realize that there is life after death and you must decide where your soul will spend eternity.  Then you must LOOK around and see that you are in darkness and see the need to come to the Light of Jesus Christ.  Your mind and heart will say that you can see, but your soul knows that you are in the darkness of sin.  You must repent of your sin and be born again to see the salvation of God.  Salvation is the free gift of God for all of those who have faith in Christ. Repentance is not doing penance or turning over a new leaf.  But it is a Change of Mind, a Change of Heart and a Change of Will.  The new birth is not what you do for God but what God does for you.  You must be born of the Seed of God.  The change of heart comes when we learn to pray and commune with God. Prayer does not change things in your life, but it will change the life of the person that prays.  Then you should see your LIFE before prayer and notice the difference in life after prayer.  It is insane to think that you can get a different results when you do the same thing.  Make a change and see the results!  Make sure when you talk to God, that you are willing to LISTEN to what God is saying to you.  The bible is the Word of God; and it is good for DIRECTIONS, and INSTRUCTION.  It will help you follow Christ.  When you get to the CROSSROADS of LIFE, Christ is there to lead you on the path of righteousness.  You must accept the ULITIMATUM; it’s time to make a DECISION, in the bible (KJV), St. Matthew 12:33 “Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.” Let’s understand what Christ is saying, either make the LIFE good, and his ACTIONS good; or make the LIFE corrupt and his Actions corrupt: for the LIFE is known by His ACTIONS.  The crossroads of life will determine the future of your destiny.  The key to your success is your trust in God’s ability to save your soul. Your walk with God leads to ETERNAL LIFE…
